The New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is the Society that represents oral and maxillofacial surgeons in New York State. Members must have a New York State dental license and limit their practice exclusively to the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. They are also required to hold membership in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and participate in that Association’s Office Anesthesia Evaluation Program.
